1,500 cases becoming retroactive is not an option for high courts

It shouldn't be a surprise that a bill has been created to papsify the voices against non-unanimous verdicts. Recently, HB1077 has replaced HB744. Instead of making the unconstitutional ruling of non-unanimous verdicts apply retroactively, a customized panel of five(5) will be appointed by the Governor and act as a parole board for the 1500 non-unanimous verdicts that are still incarcerated in Louisiana. Of course no official ruling has been made by The Louisiana Supreme Court however, it seems pretty clear that a bandaid is being placed on a large wound.
